Terms and Conditions

All transactions on the Japan Pick Up website (www.japanpickup.net) are subject to Japanese law. Every order made by a customer (i.e. you) entails the explicit acceptance of the general conditions described below.

Please note that 'business days' do not include Saturdays, Sundays, and Japanese national holidays.

I. PRODUCTS

We will provide products as long as they are in stock. Due to supplier constraints, the range of products offered may change.

If any product is unavailable and Japan Pick Up is not able to provide alternative products of similar quality and price, the purchase will be refunded to the customer.
 

The English product descriptions on this website have been translated and prepared with reference to the Japanese product descriptions provided by the manufacturer. Packaging may be subject to change. Japan Pick Up is not responsible for the content of these English descriptions. Brief product descriptions are provided on individual product pages whenever possible. If you have any questions, please contact us individually.

II. ORDER

When you click on the "Place Order" button when making an order, you commit to fully accept all the terms of sale as well as the entirety of these General Conditions of Sale and without reserve.

The checkout process consists of 6 steps: (1) shopping cart confirmation, (2) input of shipping address, (3) delivery method confirmation, (4) payment method confirmation, (5) input of billing address, (6) order confirmation. The customer will be provided with the possibility of changing or reviewing any details in their order before final confirmation. 

III. PRICE AND PAYMENT

Payment will be in USD($). Please note that the currency converter in the header of this website changes the displayed currency for your convenience, but will not reflect the currency of the sales transaction. The currency rates are provided by XE. For more information, please visit XE's website.


All transactions are processed securely by PayPal. PayPal accepts PayPal  payments, credit and debit cards. Customers go to PayPal when they make a payment. Japan Pick Up does not keep any record of your credit card or other financial information. All financial transactions are encrypted  securely and handled by PayPal.

IV. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

1. Shipment

We will confirm your order approximately 9 business days prior to your desired delivery date. After confirmation, most packages are shipped 5 business days prior to the requested delivery date.

Prior to shipment, you may change your delivery address or delivery date. However, the delivery date cannot be earlier. Please inform us of new shipping address  using the Contact Us form.

 

All products are shipped by a Japanese delivery company (Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. or Japan Post Co., Ltd.). You will receive an email notification when your package arrives at your hotel in Japan. Please pick it up at the hotel counter.

2. Shipping cost

The shipping and handling fee for a box with a total of three dimensions of under 80 cm (31 inches) and under 5 kg (11 lbs.) is a flat rate of USD($)16 for all 47 prefectures in Japan.

Additional charges will be required depending on the weight and size of packages exceeding the above specified size. Also, additional charges may be incurred depending on the shipping method requested, such as cool delivery.

3. Delivery issues

We regret that we cannot guarantee delivery dates in the event of delivery schedule changes due to delivery company reasons.

Japan Pick Up will not be responsible for the return of parcels that couldn't be delivered. We are able to ship returned packages to another address in Japan, but the reshipping cost will be at the customer's expense. If you wish to have your package shipped overseas, you will be responsible for any additional shipping costs, customs and other necessary fees. In the case of items that cannot be shipped overseas due to legal reasons, we will not be able to refund any money you have paid.

V. RETURN AND CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Return

Basically, we do not accept returns of items purchased through Japan Pick Up. Please note that items purchased by the shopping agent will be shipped without opening the package to check the contents. Therefore, we cannot compensate for any problems or mistakes regarding color, size, item number, variety, malfunction, or quality.

If you wish to return an item for any other special reason, please contact us using the Contact Us form within 7 days of the package arrival date. If Japan Pick Up agrees that a return is necessary, the total cost of the item(s) will be refunded and the shipping costs will not be refunded. You will be responsible for the shipping charges associated with sending the item(s) back to us.

In the unlikely event that an item is damaged during shipping, please send us detailed information about the damage via our contact form  within 7 days of the package arrival date, along with your order number.

2. Cancellation policy

(a) online shopping

  • We will confirm your order within one business days of placing your order. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been confirmed, a cancellation fee of USD($) 10 will be charged.
     

  • After an ordered item has been purchased on behalf of a customer, all monies paid are non-refundable.

  • If we are unable to arrange for the item on the shopping site, we will suggest an alternative product. If you are not satisfied with that alternative, USD($) 10 will be charged as an research fee and the remainder will be refunded.

(b) Shopping Agent Service

  • if the order form is not returned within 48 hours of placing an order, the order may be cancelled as we may not be able to complete the operation in time. Cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee of USD($) 10.

  • We will confirm your order within one business days of placing your order. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been confirmed, a cancellation fee of USD($) 10 will be charged.

 

  • After an ordered item has been purchased on behalf of a customer, all monies paid are non-refundable.

  • We are sorry, but if the items cannot be identified or it is found that the requested items cannot be arranged, USD ($) 10 will be charged as an research fee and the remainder of the fee will be refunded.

(c) Concierge Service

  • if the order form is not returned within 48 hours of placing an order, the order may be cancelled as we may not be able to complete the operation in time. Cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee of USD($) 10.

  • After we have made one suggestion for a souvenir idea, we will not accept cancellations. Cancellation prior to idea suggestion will be subject to a USD($) 10 cancellation fee.

  • For items that are difficult to suggest the best souvenirs according to the order form, we regret that we may decline your request. A research fee of USD($) 10 will be charged and the remainder will be refunded.

VI. REFUND

Japan Pick Up will refund the customer within 3 business days after having received the returned items or a cancellation request in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. The refund will be processed on the same account that was used for the purchase.

VII. APPLICABLE DUTY

Japan Pick Up is subject to Japanese law. Within those confines, we will try to satisfy our customers as much as we are able. In the event of complaint or difficulties, the customer can contact via our contact form for help in finding an amicable resolution.

VIII. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All text, comments, works, illustrations and images reproduced on the Japan Pick Up website (www.shop.japanpickup.net) is reserved for the title of the royalty and intellectual document of title worldwide. The reproduction, distribution, display or transmission of the content of this site is strictly prohibited, unless specifically authorized by Japan Pick Up.
